Paradise is a small group freefly skills camp that feels like a boogie. The spring edition is a smaller version of our most famous skills camp with “only” 12 groups.

IN SHORT
This is the perfect camp for all levels: challenge your ninja moves and slice up the sky with top notch coaches or learn basic new freefly skills like head up, head down or angle flying in a small group or 1-on-1 setting. This is a great opportunity to combine personal progress and rad jumps with making new friends at a paradise location. The event includes optional beach jumps and perhaps a party.

The camp runs  Wednesday – Saturday
Your jumps are pre-manifested each day

The DZ is next to the beach
We stay in a 4 star hotel & spa right next to the DZ
Your stay includes breakfast, dinner and wine

The setup
We aim to provide a totally care-free event, so that you can focus on flying and learning. We take care of your airport pickup, hotel and food and your jumps are pre-manifested. All coaches are highly qualified and because each coach has very few students, they’re able to give you their full attention. The camp runs for 4 days and we aim for 6 group jumps per day. The camp price includes 18 jumps to account for one weather day and hopefully we can do more. The participant to coach ratio is 4:1 on average.

The dropzone
Skytime in Castellon is a true gem of a DZ! It’s situated right next to the beach with a large grass landing area. While the layout is basic with a container for manifest and a few picknick tables, it’s run by people who have a deep love for the sport and you can feel that in everything.

The DZ owns a fast C208B Caravan, which gives us enough lift capacity for 48 participants / 12 groups.

How the camp works
You’re put in a small group with other flyers based on your skills, experience and goals. Every group has a dedicated coach working hard to push your personal level as far as possible. Coaches switch groups every few days to offer you flying and teaching style variation. The participant/coach ratio is a total average. To ensure the right fit for all group levels the group size may vary. Low level groups, students who need 1-on-1 coaching, and groups that are working on basic skills like head down, will be more likely to have a 3:1 ratio, while more experienced groups can often handle a 4:1 or 5:1 ratio and tend to get the more experienced coaches. If you sign up with your friends, you can request to form a group together and get your private coach.

For freefly beginners
If you’re a total newbie fresh out of AFF, or just want to learn a new technique or freefly position, you probably need some 1-on-1 coaching. For 1-on-1 coaching you’re put in a group of 3 or 4 and the coach will rotate between the students. For the jumps in between you can practise homework assignments by yourself or jump with your other group buddies. If you progress far enough during the week, you might switch to small group jumps to bring your new skills into practice. If you do only 1-on-1 coaching, you will get at least 5 coached jumps out of your 20. If you want more, you can use your remaining jump tickets for your coach and yourself. No extra coaching fee is required. If you are unsure if you have enough experience to join the camp, send us a message!

Accommodation
The standard package includes a shared two person room at the RH Silene**** Hotel & Spa, right next to the dropzone where we also have breakfast and dinner.

If you are on a budget, you can choose to book the camp without hotel and arrange your own accommodation and food (400€ discount).

If you want to come early or stay longer to do some jumps before or after the camp, you can request to extend your hotel reservation. We will ask you to confirm your arrival and departure dates in April.

You can request a single room through the registration form. The additional price for a single room is 265€ and we have limited availability. Additional nights in a single room are 110€ should you book any.

Bring your mum (or any other non-skydiver)
Castellon is a great place to hang out, even when you stay on the ground. You can bring someone to stay with you in your room and join your meals and the parties. The price is 400€ and you can book this option through the sign up form.

Travel
Travel days are Tuesday and Sunday. Spain is great for train travel and there’s a train station in Castellon. Valencia (VLC) is the closest international airport at 1h drive, and we have transfers going between VLC and the hotel on both travel days. Barcelona airport (BCN) is 2h30 drive. There is also a domestic airport (Castellon CDT) at 30 min drive from the hotel. From BCN or CDT you’ll have to arrange your own pickup, rental car or taxi.

Payment
After you fill out the registration form, you will be asked to pay a 500€ deposit to secure your slot. This deposit is non-refundable. The remaining amount should be paid latest two weeks before the start of the event.

To reserve your slot you need to agree to our general booking conditions.
